FAQ about
Ultraformer III
IS THE ULTRAFORMER III A SAFE TREATMENT?
The Ultraformer III is a minimally invasive treatment with a low complication rate, as long as it is performed by a doctor specialized in aesthetic medicine or dermatology, with proven experience in performing this type of treatment.
WHAT IS THE PRICE OF THE ULTRAFORMER III TREATMENT IN YOUR CLINIC (LISBON AND OPORTO)?
The price of the Ultraformer III treatment, whether performed in Lisbon or Oporto, depends on the areas of the face to be treated and the number of sessions needed. After the initial medical consultation with one of our specialists in aesthetic medicine, a treatment plan will be presented with the respective values for your specific case.
IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?
The Ultraformer III is a quick treatment and the discomfort is minimal and brief – an anesthetic cream is applied 30 to 60 minutes before the treatment to minimize the associated discomfort.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET RESULTS?
Generally, the results are quite visible right after the first session and continue to improve over the following months. However, the evolution and progression of results will define the number of sessions you will need. For facial treatments, 1 to 3 Ultraformer III sessions per year are recommended, according to the patient’s age and condition, as well as the areas to be treated.
HOW LONG DOES THE RESULT OF THE ULTRAFORMER III LAST?
The duration of the treatment results varies according to the patient’s age, initial skin condition and objectives. The improvements are usually very rapid, are due to the stimulation of the skin’s natural collagen production, and the skin continues its natural aging process, starting from a better level. Ultraformer III can be performed between 1 and 3 sessions per year, for progressive improvement and maintenance of results.
CAN THE ULTRAFORMER III TREATMENT BE PERFORMED AT ANY TIME OF THE YEAR?
The Ultraformer III is indicated to be performed during autumn/winter, this is because in summer, it is more difficult to avoid the sun and heat, and the treated area becomes more sensitized and subject to complications related to sun exposure.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ULTRAFORMER III TREATMENT?
Ultraformer III is usually well tolerated and complications are rare. However, in the first few days after treatment, swelling may occur in the more sensitive areas of the face and mild redness of the skin. These effects are temporary and disappear quickly.
WHAT ARE THE CONTRAINDICATIONS OF ULTRAFORMER III?
The Ultraformer III treatment has few contraindications and those that exist are common to most procedures. The treatment is not indicated for pregnant or breastfeeding patients, patients with flaccidity or excessive amount of fat, as well as patients with acne and active herpes, autoimmune diseases and suspicious pigmented lesions. Specific health conditions should be evaluated by our medical team.
