MARIA JOSE'S BEFORE AND AFTER
Blepharoplasty, Face Fat Graft, Botulinum Toxin, Facial Harmonization, Lipoabdominoplasty, Placing an Expander to Remove Scars from the Neckline, Augmentation Mammoplasty
- In the face area, we performed a Blepharoplasty to remove excess skin, a Fat Graft in the face area to increase its volume and improve its appearance, and a Facial Harmonization with filling with hyaluronic acid and Botulinum Toxin application, in order to obtain a more rejuvenated appearance of the face.
- At the body level, we performed a Lipoabdominoplasty in the abdomen and flanks area to eliminate localized fat, remove excess skin and fat from the abdomen, and reposition the abdominal wall muscles, improving Maria José’s body contour and proportion.
An Expander was also placed to remove scars in the neck area, resulting from a serious accident that Maria José suffered as a child, and an Augmentation Mammoplasty, to obtain a fuller neckline and a more harmonious body contour.
MARIA JOSÉ'S STORY
Maria José, 42 years old, resident in Beja, and a hospital assistant by profession.
Her life has been marked by tragedy. She dreamed of a makeover, to alleviate the after-effects of a severe accident she suffered when she was 10 years old, which left her with a burned face and part of her body, and deep scars throughout her life.
Since the day of the accident she has had more than 30 surgeries, most of them to treat the “thicker” scars from the burns, but as the years went by she became resigned to her appearance. During her adolescence she suffered from bullying, felt looked down upon, and inferior, and suffered bullying at school, which caused her to isolate herself socially, to have practically no love relationships, and the few she had ended in tragedy, and she has lived without self-esteem for as long as she can remember. He had minor interventions, but his budget did not allow him to go further. Besides the after-effects of the accident that persisted, she had two c-sections, which left her even more insecure about her body, especially in the abdominal area.
At a certain point, Maria José came to us and we quickly decided to help her, and immediately went ahead with the aesthetic and surgical treatments. Plastic surgery allows improvement, not perfection. Unfortunately, it also has its limits and is not a solution for all problems. Sometimes there are issues that benefit more from good make-up than from plastic surgery. In this case, the important thing is that we helped Maria José to achieve the makeover she so dreamed of in what was within our reach, and that to us is everything!
