What is Glute Master Protocol?
The Glute Master Protocol It is an exclusive, personalised medical protocol designed to improve the overall appearance of the buttocks, targeting the various structures responsible for their volume, contour, firmness, texture and skin quality.
Rather than relying on a single technique, it combines different aesthetic medicine treatments, selected according to each patient’s needs:
-
Hyaluronic Acid, to improve volume, projection and contour;
-
Collagen Biostimulators, to increase firmness and gradually improve the quality of the skin;
-
Selective subcision, to release the fibrous septa responsible for the characteristic dimples of cellulite;
-
Polynucleotides, to promote regeneration and improve the quality of the skin.
The aim is to achieve a more harmonious overall result: more defined, firmer and proportionate glutes, with a smoother skin surface and better-quality skin.
Who is it for?
The glutes may exhibit various changes that cannot always be corrected with a single treatment.
A patient may present with the following simultaneously:
-
Lack of volume or projection;
-
Asymmetries;
-
Loss of contour definition;
-
Sagging;
-
Changes in skin texture and quality;
-
Diffuse cellulite;
-
Deeper depressions caused by fibrous septa.
The Glute Master Protocol It was developed to enable an integrated approach to these different characteristics.
Following a detailed medical assessment, a personalised plan is drawn up, combining the techniques best suited to each patient’s anatomy and goals.
Not all patients require all four components of the protocol, nor do all treatments necessarily have to be carried out in the same session.
The 4 dimensions
from the Glute Master Protocol
1. Volume and Contour – Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
Hyaluronic acid injections for the body allow for the strategic addition of volume, improve projection and correct minor asymmetries or irregularities in the contour of the buttocks.
The product is applied in accordance with a personalised anatomical plan, aiming to improve the proportion and shape of the buttocks without creating an unnatural result. The results are visible immediately after treatment and it is particularly suitable for:
- Improve projection;
- Increase the volume slightly;
- To target specific areas of the gluteus;
- Correct asymmetries;
- Improve body proportions.
2. Firmness - Collagen Biostimulators
Buttock augmentation with fat makes it possible to use the patient's own fat, with a very low rejection rate. It is indicated for those who have localised fat deposits in areas of the body that can be transferred to the gluteal region. Patients are often looking not only to enlarge their buttocks but also to remould certain areas of their body using liposuction.
3. Cellulite – Selective Subcision of Fibrous Septa
Cellulite is not caused solely by localised fat.
In many of the characteristic dimples associated with cellulite, there are septa or fibrous bands that connect the skin to the deeper tissues and exert a pulling force on the surface, creating the a texture resembling small pits or ridges.
In such cases, treatments that act solely on the skin or on fat may not be able to directly correct the structural cause of the depression.
The subdivision enables precise control over these bands.
How does subcision work?
Subcision is an established technique for the treatment of cellulite dimples on the buttocks and thighs; clinical studies have demonstrated sustained improvement following the selective release of the septa responsible for dimpling.
Once the cavities that require treatment have been identified and marked, a local anaesthetic is administered.
Through a small incision, the doctor inserts a specialised instrument into the subcutaneous tissue and proceeds to selective release of the fibrous bands responsible for skin tension.
By releasing this tension, the skin may lift and the indentation may become less noticeable.
Why do we combine subcision with other treatments?
Not all cellulite has exactly the same cause.
Subcision is particularly aimed at depressions caused by the traction of fibrous septa, but a patient may simultaneously exhibit sagging, loss of collagen, changes to the skin’s surface or a lack of volume.
For this reason, in the Glute Master Protocol, the release of the septa can be complemented by biostimulation, volume correction and skin regeneration.
The aim is not simply to treat each “dimple” individually, but to improve the buttocks as a whole in a harmonious way.
4. Regeneration – Polynucleotides
The final aspect of the protocol is geared towards the skin quality and regeneration.
Polynucleotides are used in aesthetic medicine as a bioregenerative treatment, with the aim of improving aspects such as hydration, elasticity and skin quality.
In the Glute Master Protocol, they are used on the gluteal region to complement the other techniques, with the aim of promoting better-quality tissue and a gradual improvement in the skin’s elasticity and appearance.
What are the results of the Glute Master Protocol?
The results depend on the patient’s initial characteristics and the components included in the treatment.
The protocol may allow for:
-
To improve the shape and contour of the buttocks;
-
Increase volume and projection moderately;
-
Address imbalances;
-
Improve firmness;
-
To reduce the appearance of dimples caused by cellulite;
-
To make the skin’s surface more even;
-
To progressively improve skin texture and quality.
Some effects, such as the volume provided by hyaluronic acid or the smoothing out of certain depressions through subcision, can be seen immediately after treatment.
Other results, particularly those relating to the production of new collagen and improvements in skin quality, develop gradually over the following weeks and months.
The aim is not to create artificial or excessively bulky glutes, but to improve their shape, proportion and quality in a holistic and natural way.
One approach truly personalised
Not all cellulite is the same. Not all buttocks require the same treatment.
This is one of the fundamental principles of the Glute Master Protocol.
Before treatment, a medical assessment is carried out which takes into account:
- Anatomy and body proportions;
- Existing volume and projection;
- Volume distribution;
- Degree of sagging;
- Skin quality and thickness;
- Type and location of cellulite;
- The presence of depressions associated with fibrous septa;
- Asymmetries;
- The patient’s goals and expectations.
Based on this assessment, a personalised plan for each specific case, in order to obtain a harmonious and balanced result.
Recovery
Recovery following the Glute Master Protocol varies depending on the techniques used.
Following injectable treatments, the following may occur temporarily:
-
Oedema;
-
Sensitivity;
-
Redness;
-
Minor bruises.
When subcision is performed, there is a higher likelihood of bruising, swelling and tenderness in the treated area, due to the mechanical release of the fibrous septa.
The doctor will advise you individually on the necessary aftercare, including any recommendations regarding physical exercise, the use of depigmenting agents or laser treatment (for any bruising), and other activities in the days that follow.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Glute Master Protocol only designed to build glutes?
No. Volume enhancement is just one of the possible components of the treatment. The procedure can be carried out primarily to improve cellulite, skin firmness, asymmetries, body contour or skin quality, even when the patient does not wish to significantly increase volume.
Is it necessary to carry out all four techniques?
No. The treatment plan is personalised. The doctor selects the necessary techniques after assessing the patient’s anatomy, skin quality and goals.
Does the Glute Master Protocol treat cellulite?
It can significantly improve certain types of cellulite. Subcision is particularly suitable for depressions caused by the pulling action of fibrous septa. Other conditions, such as sagging or diffuse skin irregularities, may require complementary techniques.
What sets subcision apart from other treatments for cellulite?
Many treatments aim to improve circulation, firmness or the quality of the skin. Subcision has a different aim: to mechanically release the fibrous bands that are directly pulling on the skin and causing certain depressions.
What is the difference between the Glute Master Protocol and Glute Harmonisation?
Buttock contouring is primarily aimed at improving volume, projection, shape and firmness, using hyaluronic acid and/or collagen-stimulating agents.
The Glute Master Protocol is a more comprehensive approach, which combines the treatment of specific cellulite depressions through selective subcision with a component aimed at regenerating and improving skin quality using polynucleotides.
Thus, whilst the Glute Harmonisation programme focuses primarily on body contouring, the Glute Master Protocol takes an integrated approach to shape, firmness, cellulite and skin quality.
Does subcision hurt?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic. You may feel some pressure or manipulation during the treatment, and the area may be tender for a few days afterwards.
Will I get bruises?
It is possible. Bruising and swelling are to be expected following a subcision and tend to fade gradually.
When will the results be visible?
It depends on the techniques used. Some changes may be noticeable early on, whilst the improvement in collagen production and skin regeneration is gradual.
Are the results permanent?
Each component has a different duration. Fillers and biostimulating treatments are temporary and may require maintenance. The release of a specific septum through subcision aims to achieve a more lasting structural correction, although tissue ageing and the development of new changes may continue over time.
How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions depends on the conditions to be treated. In some patients, the subcision procedure can be carried out in a single session, whilst biostimulation or skin regeneration may form part of a treatment plan involving several sessions.
How much does the Glute Master Protocol cost?
As this is a fully personalised treatment, the price depends on the techniques chosen, the size of the area to be treated and the amount of product required. The treatment plan and corresponding quote are determined following a medical assessment.
