Description Clinical Case

A 50-year-old woman, mother of one child. Her abdominal skin was very striated, with diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles and adiposity. She complained of a decrease in breast volume and contour irregularities in her back and buttocks. An areolar breast augmentation was performed, with Mentor 225 round implants. Lipoabdominoplasty was performed, with liposuction to remove areas of localised fat and define the waist area, and Abdominoplasty to plump up the rectus abdominis muscles and remove excess skin, particularly most stretch marks. Liposculpture was performed on the back. The aim was to remove excess fat in the areas of the “jowls” and “folds” and to graft fat in the areas of depression. The combination of these techniques led to an improved body contour and a more defined silhouette. These images are 6 weeks apart and there is still a lot of oedema. It is expected that this will reduce considerably by six months post-op.
