Description Clinical Case
The patient is a 55-year-old woman who felt discouraged when she looked in the mirror due to her sagging face and the appearance of constant tiredness.
She underwent a neck and face lift with fat grafting and upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). After the surgery, she underwent a Fractional CO2 Laser session to achieve a more rejuvenated appearance (attenuate spots and fine wrinkles on the face). The aim of this surgery and facial rejuvenation treatment was to improve the appearance of the face, to achieve a bright, rejuvenated but natural look.
As well as removing excess skin on the eyelids and face, deeper structures of the face (muscles) that sag as part of the natural ageing process were also repositioned.
The incisions were made in front of and behind the ear (facelift) and in the natural folds of the eyes (blepharoplasty). The scars are still noticeable, but with time they become thinner and more discreet.
These before and after photos are taken four months apart.
Facial rejuvenation surgeries last between 3 and 6 hours and are most often performed under local anaesthetic and sedation. The recovery period varies from one week to 15 days. They are not particularly painful procedures, but you can expect significant discomfort and oedema (especially in the first few days) and some bruising, which quickly subsides.
