Joana's story
Joana, 26, resident in Rio Tinto.
This young woman's life has not been easy. She was born into a tragic situation and was adopted by a member of her family. She was always chubby and suffered from physical and verbal bullying from a very young age. After suffering from excess weight and diets that didn't work, Joana underwent surgery and managed to lose 40kg. Today, Joana is slimmer, but the marks from when she was overweight remain.
After losing weight, she was left with a flat, sagging chest and an excess of skin, especially in the belly area, which caused a lot of discomfort and sores in the folds of the skin. In addition to these issues, Joana never liked her nose, and even heard some less than pleasant comments about her appearance.
Joana had been dreaming of a makeover in order to alleviate the physical and psychological after-effects of the tragedies in her life. We couldn't be happier to have helped Joana change her look and helped her feel stronger and more confident to face life!

Throughout his training, he sub-specialised in the area of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, He has worked in world-renowned centres. At the same time, he also worked on breast reconstruction and the reconstruction of facial malformations.
He is currently working mainly on Aesthetic Plastic Surgery of the Face (eyelids, nose and cervical-facial lift), Breast Surgery and Female Genital Surgery.

Licensed by Lisbon Medical School, It was at this institution that she took her Master's degree in Human Sexuality and is currently working on her PhD.
She has been a member of the faculty's teaching staff since 2008, as Assistant Professor at the Institute of Anatomy. It is in this unit that she produces most of her research projects, essentially in the area of surgical anatomy, and she is also the supervisor of master's theses.
